Intercessory Prayer

Psalms 14:2 (2 Chronicles 16 :9) "The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God." Ezekiel 22 :30 "And l sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it..”

Intercessory Prayer is the act of praying on behalf of others. The Art of Standing in the Gap, intercessory Prayer is an essential portion of the NLCCI worship experience. Jesus was an intercessor while He was here on earth. He prayed for those who were sick and possessed by ungodly spirits. He prayed for His disciples. He even prayed for you and me when He interceded for all those who would believe on Him. Jesus continued His ministry of intercession after His death and resurrection when He returned to Heaven. He now serves as our intercessor in Heaven. The ministry of intercessory prayer is our calling as priests unto God.
